Odra floodplain

My bachelor's thesis: how the meadows along the Odra outside Wroclaw are used between floods, from walking every path with a GPS and a notebook.

The bachelor's thesis, written in Wroclaw in 2023. The floodplain between the city and the Widawa river is officially a flood reserve and unofficially a park, an allotment, a fishing ground and a shortcut, and no map showed any of that. I walked every path over one spring with a GPS logger, recorded 214 uses of the land in a notebook and drew them onto one map with the flood contours underneath. The conclusion was that the informal uses cluster exactly where the water goes first, which is either a problem or a plan depending on who reads it. Defended in June 2023, and the reason I chose urban geography for the master's.
